Insanity
Day 4
Cardio Recovery

Well today was quite the day. We have officially been taught all our songs for our competition show for show choir and my school has a bomb threat for tomorrow.

So today I was my first day that I wasn't in pain all day long. It was a nice experience.

Well tonights workout was mainly just a slower and more laid back version of the last two days work. I was a day to more a less give your muscles a breather and not make them want to kill you.

The only complaint I have for today is that I can barely breathe due to this gosh darn cold I have. I literally had to stop like every 4 minutes so I could blow my nose to breathe again. It sucked.

Anyway sorry for the boring blog today.

4 days down. 57 days left.

Insanity
Day "3"
Polymetric Cardio Circuit

Okay, so today I woke up and just had a very tight neck and back. They literally were like rocks. About half way through school today so like 10ish the backs of my thighs killed me. They still hurt.

After school today, we had show choir choreography camp. I came literally like 2 hours late due to stupid dentists. The dance is so fast and complex there is no where we are ever going to master it completely and all the dancing did not help me with my sore muscles.

So tonight for my workout, I finished the other half of my workout from last night. So for the workout, I did my own stretches since I had the DVD at the spot I stopped last night. Then we (Shaun T, the dedicated gym people in the DVD, & I) continued on with our intervals of suicides, power squats, mountain climbers and skiing. Each interval, we were supposed to do fast than the one before and then alternate between long and short breaks. There was no way I got faster each interval. More than likely each interval got slower and slower.
We then did our cool down which consists of like yoga or Pilates and something like that were you stretch into awkward positions that only Olivia Steffen could do.

On my calendar I was supposed to be doing Cardio Power & Resistance, but there is a reason my blog is called "Isaac's Insanity Challenge," due to the fact that I knew I wouldn't have the time or physical ability to follow the program to a tee.  Also I have a terrible cold which makes breathing very hard which is critical for cardio workouts.

Well I will say that I am done with day 3. But I will also say that I still have 58 days to go.

PS: i know my grammar and sentences are crap. you try writing after a hard workout, this late at night. Its not easy.

Insanity
Day 2
Polymetric Cardio Unit

Okay, let me tell you how today went.
Got out of bed and almost fell because my thighs were so tired from yesterday. My back is super tight and could use a good chiropractor and massage therapist. All day today my butt was super tight and sore and it hurt to both sit and stand.

So, my workout for today...

Started off with "stretching"...it was more like a workout in itself. I couldn't even keep up with my searing pain in my butt and back.

Second, moved on to intervals of suicides, power squats, mountain climbers, and skiing.
Made it about 4ish rounds before I had to call it quits due to extreme heart rate and I'm developing a callus on my right foot from jumping around on my carpet (hurts like hell).

So I made it through roughly 15min out of 30min. I would consider today a failure in my Insanity Challenge and its only Day 2. But at least I have no where to go but up.

So I'm calling today a weakness and will start with Day 3's workout tomorrow. Tomorrow is Cardio Power and Resistance (yikes). Plus I'm adding in about 4-6 hours of rigorous show choir choreography camp. I'm feeling like pain all day long is going to be a new thing for the next 60 days.

Well 2 days down. 58 days to go.

Insanity
Day 1
Fit Test 1

So for the past month, I have been deciding when to start my Insanity. Tonight after a lengthy show choir practice, I decided to start it.

Let me tell you, it's called Insanity for a reason. I have just finished the first Fit Test and my abs hurt and my legs can barely move. Can't wait for tomorrow! :(

Okay. So here's how my Fit Test went.

1. Switch Kicks-43
2. Power Jacks-34
3. Power Knees-45
4. Power Jumps-30
5. Globe Jumps-7
6. Suicide Jumps-11
7. Push-Up Jacks-11
8. Low Plank Oblique-24

By about 5, my legs kept giving out; if you can't tell by the numbers.

The whole reason for starting this program is for me to gain some muscle so my arms aren't as scrawny as they are.
So I'm starting at a weight of 149 pounds, and hoping to gain more through this program; as in gaining muscle!

Day 1 down. 59 to go.
